Mobile users on Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have got an early Diwali present from the telecom operator. According to a media report by NDTV Gadgets 360, the telco has revised one of its existing prepaid plan with longer validity as well as offering more internet data per day to the user.
The plan we’re referring to costs Rs 108 and comes with validity of 28 days. Previously, the plan came with 500MB data usage per day, and free voice calling benefits. But now, BSNL is giving 1GB data per day to those getting this plan.
However, the new version of the prepaid plan will be only available those who’re getting it for the first time from 24 October onwards.
The calling benefits are available for most regions, except for calls made to Mumbai and Delhi. It’s also worth noting that the prepaid plan caters to users on 3G network, as the telco is yet to expand its reach of 4G in the country.
But it’s not just mobile plans that BSNL is making changes to. The telco, which is also a broadband player has revised the prices of its entry-level data plan for fixed line internet users in the country.
Its data plan costing Rs 777 is now being offered as a promotional plan for 90 days. For this price, users are getting 500GB data limit, speeds clocking up to 50Mbps, and post the limit, speeds come down to 2Mbps.
In terms of its fibre plans given here, you can sign up for anything between Rs 777 to Rs 9,999 but it’s worth noting that BSNL only caters to 50Mbps and 100Mbps data speed with high amount of data usage on offer.
