BlackBerry may not be in the best of health in the Indian smartphone market, but it’s making a comeback in India on 28, January 2016.
The company is all set to bring its much talked about Android-powered BlackBerry Priv to India.
The company had minimised its presence in the country in 2015 with no takers for the BlackBerry OS or their smartphones.
Another reason for BlackBerry’s downfall was the invasion of affordable Android smartphones.
Blackberry smartphones were exorbitantly priced and there were a dearth of apps.
The company refocused on its enterprise division and now it plans to re-enter the smartphone space with the Android-powered Blackberry Priv.
Key Specifications: BlackBerry Priv
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57
- RAM: 3GB
- Display: Curved 5.43-Inch WQHD Plastic AMOLED Display With 540PPI
- Rear Camera: 18MP Camera With OIS And LED Flash
- Front Camera: 2 MP

Don’t be under the impression that it will come cheap. The Priv will be a flagship BlackBerry smartphone with a touch and type design.
This will compete with the likes of the Apple iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Google Nexus 6P in the Indian market.
