It’s a happy day for all you Apple lovers out there. The California-based tech giant is all set to unveil its Apple Watch later today. In its first major event of the year, CEO Tim Cook & co. will talk all about the product and what to watch out for at the event that it has titled ‘Spring Forward’ in San Francisco.
Expect to get answers to the following questions tonight. Here’s what he already know.
1. Would I be able to afford it?: It’s an Apple product, what do you think? Unconfirmed reportes indicate that the watch’s price would start at $350. Only if you’re rich or are an Apple fanboy (or both) will you ensure you wear this on your wrist.
2. Could a non-Apple person buy the watch? No. No. NO! That’s one of the biggest flaws. The Apple Watch is not a standalone device, it needs the support of your iPhone. And that’s why you need to be an Apple boy to use this watch.
3. When will it be available to buy? You can be the proud owner of the Apple Watch in April. But the exact date will only be disclosed at today’s event.
4. How good is its battery life? Thanks to touchscreen that’ll end up draining the battery, it’s best you charge it every night. Don’t believe us ? Even Cook suggested that the Apple Watch will need to be charged every night.
5. What are the new apps? Credit cards are a passe. With the new Apple Watch you can now pay for your food through Apple Pay. All you would need to do is connect it with your iPhone and you are good to swipe that wrist. That’s not all. If you’re getting too comfortable on your couch, the Apple Watch will remind you to stand up at least once an hour. And also help you to burn those calories every day.
6. Where can I watch the launch of the Apple Watch? Log on to: http://www.apple.com/live/. And watch it live at 10:30 PM IST.
