Apple Music is now available on all Amazon Alexa devices in India. The company made the announcement after Apple’s music-streaming service was released in other parts of the world like Canada.

Those users who have an Apple Music subscription can now listen to music on any of the Echo devices with Alexa. It is not confirmed yet whether people who own speakers that have the Alexa voice assistant built-in will also receive this feature.

Alexa devices will also be able to stream expert-made radio stations centred on popular local genres like Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and even music from around the world like Hip-Hop.

To use the feature users will have to enable the Apple Music skill in their Alexa app and then link their account to start listening.

Amazon has earlier announced that Apple Music subscribers will be able to play songs on Echo devices from 17 December. That timeline has now been advanced.

It is interesting to see Apple open up one of its platforms to third-party companies. In this case it is a direct competitor to the likes of Google and even Microsoft to some extent.
