Amazon has signed a deal to formally sell a wider portfolio of Apple products on its sites worldwide, CNet reported.

The e-commerce company said on Friday, 9 November, that it will sell a wider gamut of Apple products, which will include the Cupertino giant’s latest and greatest, namely the iPad Pro, the iPhone XS and XR and the Apple Watch Series 4. The portfolio will also include the Beats headsets that are part of Apple’s line.

The new deal includes the markets of US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and India, the CNet report said.

This deal also does away with the problem of uncertain prices for Apple products on Amazon as they were sold by third-party sellers on the site till now. CNet further reported that only Apple-authorised resellers will get to sell the devices on Amazon.

The deal is being seen as a smart move by Amazon to sell more products with the upcoming sale season in the United States. On the other hand, it will help Apple expand its product footprint across the globe.

"We're working with Amazon to improve the experience for Apple customers on their site, and we look forward to those customers having another great way to buy iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and more,” an Apple spokesperson told CNet.
