Apple Inc on Thursday announced new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops as the most advanced Mac notebooks ever with faster performance and new pro features. These new notebooks can also compile code faster and run multiple virtual machines and test environments easier than before.
The new MacBook Pro models have 8th-generation Intel Core processors, with a 6-core processor on the 15-inch model for up to 70 per cent faster performance and quad-core on the 13-inch model for up to two times faster performance. Apple claims up to 10 hours of battery life
Additional updates include support for up to 32GB of RAM, up to 4 TB of storage, a True Tone display and an improved third-generation keyboard for quieter typing. Hailing it as the ultimate Pro notebook, Apple has equipped the new laptops with Radeon Pro graphics, the trademark large Force Touch trackpad and Touch Bar, dynamic stereo speakers, quiet Apple-designed cooling system and Thunderbolt 3 for data transfer, charging and connecting up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs.
Starting at Rs 149,900 and Rs 199,900 respectively, the updated 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar will be available at select Apple Authorised Resellers later this month, the company said in a statement.
"The latest generation MacBook Pro is the fastest and most powerful notebook we've ever made," said Philip Schiller, Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
The new Pro is ideal for manipulating large data sets, performing complex simulations, creating multi-track audio projects or doing advanced image processing or film editing.
The new laptops have also taken care of a long-standing problem with Apple laptops - storage. The new Macbook pro laptops will come with up to 4TB of SSD storage.

Also new to MacBook Pro is the Apple T2 chip, first introduced in iMac Pro.
With this chip, MacBook Pro will deliver enhanced system security with support for secure boot and on-the-fly encrypted storage, and also brings "Hey Siri" to the Mac for the first time.
MacBook Pro can be updated this fall with MacOS Mojave, the latest version of the world's most advanced desktop operating system.

Macbook Pro 2015 Discontinued
According to a 9to5Mac, the company also ceased the sales of the 2015 Macbook Pro, its last laptop that had an SD card slot, and HDMI port and a USB-A slot.
The end of the 2015 Macbook Pro also puts an end to the traditional Macbook keyboard as the company has switched to the new butterfly keyboards that have received complaints regarding its reliability that even led the company to introduce a 4-year extended service program.
Although the Macbook Air still offers an SD card slot and an HDMI port, it is a very old and under-powered laptop.
