Amazon’s Prime Video platform is now available with support for Hindi in India for its users. You can switch to the language on the mobile app or even the desktop version of Prime Video.

This falls in line with the company’s push to localise content and its platforms. This comes after the Amazon shopping site got a Hindi version a few months back.

Unlike the Hindi app for shopping, Amazon has managed to roll out the language support within the existing app and platform itself. That’s not all, Amazon pointed that its growing selection of Prime Video's content can also be watched with descriptions and subtitles in Hindi now.

Google has been doing its own bit to localise and lets users opt for Hindi as their main language across different platforms. Recently, the Google Home speaker got Hindi support via Google Assistant in the country, which can be changed via the Home app.

With most of the mobile/internet usage growth happening in the non-urban cities, global technology giants are realising the need to focus on products that cater to users across all corners of the country, in regional languages.
