The rivalry between Apple and Samsung in the smartphone race dates back over a decade, and the Korean brand has always taken a dig at the Cupertino giant. The latest Samsung commercial for its flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, trolls the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

Take a look at this video uploaded by SamsungUSA:

As has been the case with Samsung commercials over the years, the Korean smartphone-maker trolls Apple for seemingly being behind the times when it comes to technology trends. The ad also makes it a point to rub in the fact that the latest iPhones do not have headphone jacks (ever since the iPhone 7).

The ad also shows how Samsung has been ahead of the curve when it comes to technology adoption – from waterproofing phones to expandable memory. And of course, it makes it a point to show how fanboys will nevertheless wait for the latest iPhone.

Interestingly, Apple sources its OLED displays from its biggest rival Samsung, as well as from LG. So while the brands compete in the market, they do share some technology and components.

Every time Apple has come out with a new phone, Samsung has come out with an ad, which more or less follows the same theme – that Apple is late to the party. The Apple iPhone X, for instance, has wireless charging, waterproofing and bezel-less display. These features were already present in the Samsung Galaxy S8. In fact, Samsung has had features like wireless charging and edge-to-edge screens since the S6, in 2015.

Apple iPhone fans though will disagree.
