Honda India has unveiled its much anticipated fleet of new cars for the Indian market. The Japanese automaker is re-introducing the Civic sedan, as well as the CR-V sports-utility vehicle. In addition to that, Honda is also showcasing its futuristic technology prowess in terms of integrating artificial intelligence to make the driving experience more intuitive for the driver.
The company will be introducing six models in three years, out of which three will be launched in 2018-19, these are CR-V, Civic and the second generation Amaze, their mid-segment sedan which is up against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
Talking about Civic, this popular sedan has its eyes set on brands like Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki as well. The new-look tenth generation Civic gets a bolder profile, which makes the car look leaner as well as meaner than before.
The CR-V enters into its fifth generation with the latest version.
The company hasn’t revealed the full details of the cars right now, but it’s quite certain that the trio of Civic, CR-V and the Amaze will be making its way over the course of 2018. No prices have been revealed yet.
Auto Expo 2018 is the biggest expo in India for all car and bike makers to showcase their products. This is the 14th edition of the expo, where 24 launches will take place. The entire Volkswagen Group – Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ducati, MAN and Scania – has pulled out of the expo this year. Harley Davidson, Triumph, Royal Enfield and even Bajaj will not be present.
