In terms of specifications, the Black Shark 2 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display which offers multi-touch functionality and also sharper contrast than before (company claimed).

It packs a Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with RAM options between 6GB and 12GB. There is no expandable memory available so you’ll have to made do with what you get.

When we checked, the phone seemed to be running on stock Android, but we are not sure whether the same will be offered in the box.

Some of the features quintessential for gamers are an advanced liquid cooling system, HDR gaming mode, broadside LTE and Wi-fi connectivity with more antennas. It also has Ludicrous Mode (which enhances the performance for gaming) and offers very low latency touch.

You can stream the game live via a USB-type C cable and also cast the content on a larger screen via the same. These are some additional features of the Black Shark 2.

The whole setup is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports quick charging.

It does come with a dual 48+12-megapixel rear camera setup while on the front there is a 20-megapixel snapper. Don’t know the true purpose of a powerful camera system on a gaming phone, but it seems the manufacturer deemed it important.

The company has also launched an attachable game pad and cooling pad with the phone, which will be sold separately.

Other gaming phones in the market that the Black Shark 2 will compete against are the Asus ROG phone and the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 3 scheduled to be launched in the mid week of June.
