OnePlus is celebrating its third birthday in the Indian market, intergalactic style. The company has announced a special, limited edition OnePlus 5T Star Wars variant which will be unveiled on 15 December, the release day of Star Wars - The Last Jedi in India.

We don’t know of OnePlus will price the limited edition differently, but we see no reason to believe they would.

OnePlus launched its second flagship for the year, OnePlus 5T, in India and other parts of the world recently. The phone is priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999 in India, which is exactly what you paid for the OnePlus 5.

Unlike the standard version, the Star Wars edition of the 5T gets some notable differences with the slider button in red colour, along with Star Wars logo printed at the back of the device which seems to be have been made in white colour.

The phone also gets The Last Jedi movie as its default wallpaper, and you’re likely to find the trailer of the movie, Star Wars - The Last Jedi pre-installed as well. It’s interesting to see that OnePlus has only mentioned India for this variant, so we’ll have to wait and see if OnePlus plans to sell this anywhere else.

But considering OnePlus and its rise as a popular high-end smartphone brand in the country, this could be their way of thanking India for the response to its products, which started its journey with the OnePlus One in 2014.

Check out the trailer of Star Wars The Last Jedi which is releasing on the 15 December.

In comparison to the OnePlus 5, the 5T gets a bigger and improved 6-inch Full-HD display, packing the same Snapdragon 853 processor with 6/8GB RAM options. The other noticeable changes are the fingerprint scanner moves to the back, and OnePlus adding its own software avatar of Face Unlock feature.
