OnePlus on Thursday announced the upgraded 7T series phone, which gets a starting price of Rs 37,999 in India. The 7T series is the annual refresh that OnePlus offers. The phone will be available online from 28 September onwards.
The OnePlus 7T succeeds the regular 7 series with an upgraded processor and some new high-end features in tow.
Considering the OnePlus 7 launched barely six months back, it is interesting that the 7T has been showered with quite a lot of features. Of course, this has invariably increased the prices of the basic OnePlus 7T version as well.
Here’s our first look video of the OnePlus 7T:
The OnePlus 7T, as seen in multiple leaks, gets a 6.5-inch 90Hz display with 20:9 ratio, but it still supports 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The high refresh rate technology, borrowed from the 7 Pro is one of the main reasons for the bump in the price of the OnePlus 7T.
OnePlus has also upgraded the processor to Snapdragon 855 Plus, which is currently available on phones like the Asus ROG 2 and will most likely be offered on the Pixel 4 series.
With a taller design profile, OnePlus 7T gets a 3,800mAh battery, which is backed up by the new Warp Charge 30T module that offers faster charging time.
The camera module has also been enhanced with two more sensors at the back, with a 48-megapixel, 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel lenses now part of the non-Pro version as well. At the front, you get a 16-megapixel camera positioned on the water-drop notch.
Most OnePlus 7 users might be feeling the need to switch their current phone with the 7T which in not fair but this trend has become fairly synonymous with the company over the years. All in all, the OnePlus 7T is an upgrade, but will buyers find it attractive enough for 38K? That remains to be seen.
