The new Apple iPhones launched just a few months back, but it looks like the company is already keen to reboot and start afresh with new products in 2019.

Which is why there are already reports from The Wall Street Journal which suggest that Apple will yet again launch three new iPhone variants this year, but one of them will pack three cameras at the back.

The series, most likely to called the iPhone XI (eleven) could line up alongside the iPhone XI Max and the successor to the supposedly affordable iPhone XR, the report adds.

The need to start talking about the new iPhone so early in the year also is an indication the iPhone XS series, costing as much as Rs 1.45 lakh for the top variant, hasn’t sold well across different markets for Apple.

We’ve already come across our first iPhone leak for 2019, and the report from this week is more or less what we heard about the iPhone with trio of cameras.

The report doesn’t mention the nature of the lenses to be used, but we assume Apple will follow Huawei’s example and add a primary lens, along with a telephoto and a wide-angle lens for the iPhone XI. This could also be Sony’s 3D camera that has been touted by the Japanese technology giant over the past few months.

Except for the camera, there’s very little left to the imagination in this render, with a glass-back body complementing the front screen, which could sport a notch, hopefully a smaller one though.

Apple traditionally launches its iPhones around September, so we’ll probably wait out for more conclusive reports to start talking about the 2019 iPhone XI. Either way, Apple is likely to have its toughest quarters in 2019, with research analysts seeing less demand and even less shipment of the iPhone XS series.

This seems to have forced Apple’s hand, which is reportedly keen to assemble its high-end iPhone products in India to cut down on the duty costs. The Reuters report, quoting sources, says that Apple, for the first time, will join hands with the Taiwanese manufacturer Foxconn to make its products from its Sriperumbudur plant in Tamil Nadu.

To make this happen, the report says, Foxconn will expand its production plant to facilitate assembling of iPhone in 2019.
