Yamaha has launched the fairing avatar of its FZ25 – Fazer 25.
Fazer has been an ever-present model in Yamaha India’s portfolio, but for the first time, buyers will spend upwards Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) to get their hands on the Fazer 25.
What you’re looking at is the fairing version of the 250-cc FZ25, which has been in the market for more than six months now. In terms of power output and all other features, Fazer 25 borrows them from the FZ25, and will be seen competing with the likes of Duke 250 and Pulsar 200 NS.

Yamaha wants to position Fazer 25 as a sports tourer, which to be honest, doesn’t fit the way it looks and how its ergonomics are. The bike packs 249-cc four-stroke, fuel-injected engine with 20Bhp of power and 20Nm torque.
Even with the addition of full fairing, Yamaha claims that the Fazer 25 is only six kilograms heavier than the FZ25. The overall seating quality is a big improvement, and they’ve brought in dual horns and pilot lamps with DRLs.
The instrument cluster still lacks some features, but with a claimed mileage of 43 kmpl, Yamaha hopes that its sports tourer catches the fancy of new-age buyers, who don’t mind spending big on two-wheelers.
