Bajaj Auto had showcased a 400cc Pulsar called the CS400 at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The Pulsar 200SS and NS variants were on display too, and eventually, they made their way to the Indian market. But the CS400 never did.
But if the recent internet buzz is to be believed then there might be a 400cc Bajaj motorbike coming soon, and it is an Avenger!
Expected to be powered by the same engine as the CS400, the bike will be going up against Royal Enfield’s line-up and might even dethrone the company as the largest- mid-size motorcycle seller.
If you’re wondering why then one of the biggest things working in Bajaj’s favour is the image the company has lately developed for itself. Bajaj isn’t the most reliable company out there but it has huge sales numbers and has established a large chain of dealerships and service centres. And if they actually make the 400cc Avenger a reality, then there will be plenty of takers for it.
