The Dubai police is known for having the fastest of cars on their service.
The list already boasts of names like the Aston Martin One-77, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, Chevrolet Camaro, Ferrari FF, a modified Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Aventador, Mercedes-Benz SLS, Bentley Continental and the mighty Bugatti Veyron.
The list has got a new addition in the form of the Porsche Spyder 918. That too the convertible ‘Spyder’ variant.
The 918 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.6 litre V8 engine which is capable of developing 608bhp.
If the power from the V8 ever feels less (it isn’t), the car has two electric motors which deliver an additional 279 horsepower, taking the total to a massive 887bhp.
What this means is that the car can reach from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and can attain a speed of 340 km/h.
Only 918 of these cars have ever been made. The production ended in June 2015 and all the 918 units have already been sold.
