Toyota has launched four cosmetically-enhanced versions of its popular Innova Crysta MPV under the Toyota Innova Touring Sport tag. The Innova Touring Sport variants are priced between Rs 17.79 lakh and Rs 22.15 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The Toyota Innova Touring Sport isn’t too different from the other variants of the Toyota Innova – the changes are mainly cosmetic.
Toyota Innova Touring Sport Prices
Innova Touring Sport Petrol Manual: Rs 17,79,000
Innova Touring Sport Petrol Automatic: Rs 20,84,500
Innova Touring Sport Diesel Manual: Rs 18,91,000
Innova Touring Sport Diesel Automatic: Rs 22,51,500
Toyota has tried to make the rather bland Innova look more sporty. It gets a new colour – wildfire red – while the grille is now all black, as are the 16-inch alloy wheels. Toyota has reverted to 16-inchers after feedback that the 17-inch wheels were not too comfortable to drive on.
The front and rear bumpers get integrated spoilers with chrome detailing while the wheel arches get black cladding for a tougher look.
The interiors of the Toyota Innova Touring Sport get some changes as well. The instrument cluster gets red backlighting and the black leather seat upholstery now has red stitching along its seams. A red-wood panel runs the length of the dashboard.
The vehicle will now come as a seven-seater, with individual bucket seats in the middle row.
The lnnova Touring Sport is powered by a choice of three engines – a 2.4 litre diesel engine with a five-speed manual transmission, a 2.8 litre diesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission and a 2.7 litre petrol engine with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission.
The Toyota Innova Touring Sport is a spin-off of the Toyota Innova Crysta, which was launched exactly a year ago. The Innova has been clocking average sales of over 6,000 vehicles a month since then.
