Volkswagen did not have a very good 2015. We all know about the Dieselgate controversy. The car that was mainly infected by it was the Volkswagen Jetta TDI.

But if you are looking for a cleaner fuel option, the company even makes a Petrol version of it.

Volkswagen India launched the 2015 Jetta this year which was a minor upgrade of the outgoing Jetta. It’s a D-segment sedan that faces competition from the likes of Toyota Altis, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia.

Odd-Even Formula: Not a Solution in the Land of Jugaad

The Delhi’s odd-even plan suggested by the city’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has an underlying assumption that it will reduce number of vehicles moving on the street, as well as bring down air pollution levels. It is based on a model being tested in the Colombian city of Bogota.

It looks like Delhi has come up with an idea, even though a borrowed one, to solve its air problems. But if banning cars would help in combating air pollution effectively and rationally, then probably every other city on this planet would have done so.

Ford GT40 to Use Smartphone Glass Maker Corning’s Gorilla Glass

Smartphone screens are getting more durable by the day thanks to the desire to protect the phones. One of the world’s most durable smartphone glass is made by Corning and the glass will now be used in cars.

Corning has developed a version of its Gorilla Glass series that is going to be used by American automaker Ford as the windshield and rear window of the new Ford GT40 sports car.

Mahindra Hires Ferrari Designer Pininfarina for Future Car Models

After months of speculation and negotiations, Mahindra announced that it will acquire Italian automotive and industrial design firm Pininfarina, which has been known to design almost every Ferrari model since 1951.

The firm was founded by Battista Pininfarina in 1930. The company has also designed various models for Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Fiat, General Motors, Lancia, and Maserati.
