2. Welcome Honda Accord Hybrid: It’s Eco-Friendly & Costs Rs 37 Lakh

The last edition of Honda Accord never made it to India, but the hybrid version of the premium sedan wants to make a difference in the country.

Priced at Rs 37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Honda Accord Hybrid enters an eco-friendly segment that’s currently served by Toyota (Prius) and Maruti Suzuki to some extent.

The Accord Hybrid will be a completely built-up (CBU) unit, which means that Honda has to work in line with the excise norms in the country, adding to the cost of this four-wheeler hybrid.

The company already has three products on offer in the market, the e2o, e-Verito and the recently launched e-Supro van (passenger and cargo).

With each product, Mahindra Electric has aimed at addressing a very real need, though the number of EVs sold doesn’t account for even one percent of the total car market in India. It is that vein of thought that has led to the Mahindra Electric e2o Plus. Designed and developed in-house, the e2o Plus can simply be labelled as the four-door version of the e2o.
