Tata Motors has been teasing their next hatchback for sometime now on TV channels in India. Remember the Lionel Messi brand campaign?

The new car to come out from Tata Motors’ stable has been christened the Zica. The car is built on an all new platfrom and it’s slotted by the company between the Tata Nano and Tata Indica. The first look will remind you of an Indica though.

The Tata Zica looks like a cross between the Indica, Tata Bolt and Tata Zest.

The car is expected to have both diesel and petrol variants and will compete with Renault’s Kwid and Hyundai’s Eon.

The official launch is stated for December 2015 and the new fun hatchback will likely be seen on Indian roads from January 2016.

We really hope that this car does not suffer the same fate as the Indica.
