Tata Safari has always been perceived as the big, rugged SUV that is as powerful as it looks. The stance of the car, the high ground clearance and the aggressive styling has made many fall in love with it.
Tata has given Safari Storme lovers a reason to rejoice as the car has been upgraded with a new, more powerful Varicor engine.
The new Engine is a 2.2-litre 16-valve DOHC Varicor diesel engine.
It churns out 150PS of power and 320Nm of torque and is connected to a 5-speed transmission system.
Usually, an increase in power figures means that there is a decrease in fuel economy, but not this time. According to Tata Motors, the car will now give a fuel economy of 14.1 km/l.
The exteriors have got an upgrade too. The front-end has got a new honeycomb design with Storme written right above it.
On the inside, Tata has given steering-mounted controls along with a new infotainment system by Harman, which is connected to a total of 6 speakers. The car also supports Bluetooth connectivity.
The completely black interiors now have silver accents to them, giving the car a premium feel.
