Hyundai India has officially sent out pictures of the 2019 Hyundai Elantra. The new Hyundai Elantra will be launched on 3 October, when prices will be revealed, while bookings commence 25 September.
The Elantra was earlier priced between Rs 13.8 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, across petrol and diesel variants. This time around, Hyundai isn’t likely to launch a diesel version of the Elantra, sticking instead only to a 2-litre petrol engine, according to some reports.
The 2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol motor puts out 150 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque. It was available in the earlier Elantra too, with options of a six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic.
The Elantra looks like it has been inspired by a bunch of cars from other brands, although it does have the Hyundai family styling. Look closely and you could spot hints of Lexus and perhaps Audi in the design. It does look quite sharp.
The next-generation Elantra is likely to have a long feature list like the current generation. Ventilated seats, sun-roof, wireless charging and Hyundai’s BlueLink infotainment system are expected to be a part of the feature list.
