The 2016 Geneva Motor Show has only just begun and it has seen the unveiling of two of the most insanely powerful cars on the planet already.

It started with the Bugatti Chiron, which according to Bugatti, has a 1,500 horsepower engine and will soon set a new record in terms of being the fastest car ever.

Within hours of that announcement, Koenigsegg unveiled the production-ready Regera which, put simply, burst Buggati’s bubble.

The top speed of Chiron is electronically limited to 420 km/h for safety purposes and there has been no announcement in terms of the actual top speed the car is capable of achieving.

Same is the case with the Koenigsegg Regera. There has been no top speed announcement as of now, but there is detail that both the companies have revealed – Acceleration.

The Regera goes from 0-300 km/h in 10.9 seconds, which is almost three seconds faster than the Chiron’s time of 13.6 seconds.

Although the Regera takes longer to reach 0-100 km/h (2.9 seconds) as compared to Chiron’s 2.5 seconds.

It’ll be interesting to see the two beasts pitted against each other.

And if and when that happens, it’ll definitely be one of the greatest moments for car enthusiats around the world, regardless of who wins the race.
