Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new 2018 Swift in India, with prices starting at Rs 4.99 lakh and going up to Rs 8.29 lakh. The Swift comes in 12 variants – six petrol and six diesel, with two automated manual transmission (AMT) variants in each engine choice.
Here's a quick snapshot of the prices of the all-new Maruti Swift across the 12 variants.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift, besides getting an all-new body, has now been updated with a lot of new features. The body shell is based on the new Heartact platform that also underpins the new Maruti Baleno and Dzire. While it is a lighter platform, it meets the safety norms better.
However, Maruti has kept the design of the Swift pretty similar to the previous generation, as it is a car that is easily recognisable. The floating roof design, muscular haunches, and swept back headlamps all find a place in the new Swift.
In terms of features, it gets a new touchscreen infotainment system on the top trim ZDI/ZXI + variants with reverse camera and sensors. All variants get two airbags, ABS and isofix child seat-belts. Automatic climate control and automatic headlamps with LED DRLs also find their way to the Swift.
The new design has allowed Maruti to increase the amount of space inside the car. It now comes with more legroom and headroom. The lighter weight (it's lighter by about 85 Kg compared to the previous generation) has made it more fuel efficient.
