The new Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder (quite a mouthful) has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 4.1 crores.
The drop-top version of the uber-luxurious sports car launches in India after its coupe version was launched in India earlier this year at Rs 3.73 crores.
The newly launched car shares most of its mechanical features and dynamics with its sibling, the Huracan Evo Coupe.
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder comes with a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that is capable of pumping 640hp or power and offers 600Nm of peak torque.
The engine has been mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which helps this car hit a top speed of 323 kilometres per hour.
The car also receives the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) chassis control system, torque vectoring system, and rear-wheel steering just like the Evo Coupe.
The Spyder can do 0-100kmph in just 3.1 seconds.
The addition of the soft top mechanism makes the Spyder 120 kgs heavier than the Coupe and the roof uses a hydraulic system which helps it get down in just 17 seconds. This can be done while the car is driving at 50 kmph.
The rear windows can be retracted using electronics regardless of whether the roof is up or down.
The closest rivals for this car are the Ferrari 488 Spider and also the Audi R8 Spyder.
