The Lamborghini Huracan Evo has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.73 crore, all-India. This Huracan Evo gets more power and more tech than its predecessor that’s been in India since 2014.

The Lamborghini Huracan Evo is powered by a 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine that puts out 630 bhp of power and 600 Nm of torque. That’s about 30 horses more than its predecessor. It gets new titanium valves and a redesigned exhaust for better sound and power.

It can go from 0-100 Kmph in 2.9 seconds, that’s about a third of a second faster than before and can hit 200 Kmph in about 9 seconds. The top-speed is over 325 Kmph. Of course, these cars are all about these critical numbers.

To achieve that the design has been tweaked a bit, but retains the familiar Huracan styling. It has slightly improved aerodynamics, which now generate 7 times more downforce than before.

The Huracan Evo gets three driving modes - Strada, which is basic all-wheel drive for regular touring, Sport, where it behaves like a rear-wheel drive to drift through corners and Corsa, which is meant for the race track, where the four-wheel steering comes into play to hold tighter lines.

The interior gets a new digital interface. The touchscreen-system has all the controls for car settings and Apple CarPlay as well to handle infotainment duties. The car tips the scales at about 1.4 tonnes thanks to plenty of carbon-fibre use all around.

It’s a toy for the super-rich and competes with big boys like the Porsche 911, Mercedes AMG GTR and the Ferrari 488 GTB among others. The company 1,301 cars in the Asia Pacific region last year (including India & China), of which 576 were Huracans and 363 were of its new Urus SUV.
