Jeep is here in India, and people are excited to try it on the famously bad roads in the country. Both Cherokee and Wrangler SRT were first showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 this year, and much like every other auto company, Jeep has managed to make its uber-SUVs available in the country this year itself.
The American auto major will be going head on against Jaguar Land Rover.
So, on the day it launched in India, JLR welcomed Jeep rather cheekily.
Not long after, Jeep responded to JLR’s welcome.
The pleasant Twitter exchange between two major names in the auto industry was reminiscent of the tongue-in-cheek exchange between German giants Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
On the eve of BMW’s 100th anniversary, Mercedes-Benz tweeted a video congratulating the Bavarians on their centenary, and thanking BMW for 100 years of competition.
Then, cheekily adding, “The first 30 years were actually boring without you.”
