Jaguar Land Rover has launched its latest Discovery, the 7-seater SUV, in India with prices starting from Rs 71.38 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to its overall adventure capability, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) claims that the new Discovery delivers with its overall design, as well as sturdy practicality.
The Discovery comes in two power trains; 3-litre diesel as well petrol engine. Matching that power are features like Terrain Response, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control that coast through the adrenaline.
Discovery also gets intelligent seat fold functionality for the seven seats on offer, offering adequate stowage space, even inside the dashboard console, and a full-sized spare wheel to the rescue in emergencies.
The seven-seater SUV gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with W Meridian audio system. For practicality sakes, JLR claims that the new Discovery offers a class-leading, wading depth of 900 mm, with an approach angle of 34-degree and ramp angle of 27.5-degree among others, for delicate maneuverability of this giant SUV and overcome tough road conditions.
LED headlights, nine USB ports fitted on all corners, and ability to keep 5 mini tablets, and multiple 2-litre bottle inside the front armrest makes sure, every corner of the car has been fully utilised.
In terms of brute power, the new Discovery pushes out 250 kW of power, 450NM of torque with its petrol engine. While the figures for the diesel unit push out 190 kW of power and 600Nm of torque.
There’s a lot more to talk about this 7-seater SUV but for now, all we can say is that the new Discovery pushes the envelope for adventure seekers, taking them to the edge.
