A sports car is supposed to have a seat that can hold the driver in place even while turning hard at three-digit speeds. Ask the driver who has to face the G-forces, and he won’t be able to emphasise the importance of a good seat enough. Lexus claims to have come out with a seat which sticks to the driver, literally, called V-LCRO.
At first glance, the seat appears to be ordinary, but look closer and you see the Velcro inserts. It also requires some serious commitment from the driver’s side as he/she will need to wear a matching Velcro suit, or have the pattern stitched into whatever they are wearing.
The V-LCRO seat will be initially made available for the Lexus RC F and Lexus GS F models. Is it extreme engineering or just a really clever April Fool’s prank?
