German car manufacturer Audi’s 2016 Q Drive has started, with the first driver experience event being held in Thane. Currently in its fifth edition, the Audi Q Drive program will be held across 30 dealer locations in India where Audi enthusiasts can get an opportunity to experience the Quattro technology of Audi SUVs – Audi Q7, Audi Q5 and Audi Q3.
According to the company, almost 10,000 people have taken part in this program since its inception in India.
Audi is well-known for its technology called Quattro, which means the number 4 in Italian. The term is used by Audi to indicate All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system and is used only in specific models.
The company has a team of instructors responsible for supervising the build-process of these tracks including Indian racing driver Aditya Patel who has competed in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, Polo Cup, Formula BMW Pacific and the 24 hours of Nurburgring.
Audi currently sells three SUVs in the country – the Q3, Q5 and Q7, which have a starting price tag of roughly Rs 30, 50 and 70 lakh respectively.
