Honda has revealed the price of the much-awaited compact crossover called the WR-V at its global launch event in India. This compact four-wheeler takes the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Ford EcoSport head on, with prices starting from Rs 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The WR-V will be available in petrol and diesel variants, and is the first in its class to get an electric sunroof. The WR-V is Honda’s attempt to mimic the compact crossover and carries a sub-2litre engine on both the platforms.
The car borrows its design elements from Jazz and the new Honda City. The WR-V comes in a 1.2-litre petrol engine, while the diesel variant gets the more powerful 1.5-litre engine under the hood. Surprisingly, Honda isn’t offering an automatic variant with either of the models.
