Ducati Gets 2018 Panigale V4 Superbike to India at Rs 20.53 Lakh 

The latest superbike from Ducati is their first to pack a four-cylinder engine.

The showstopper superbikes from Ducati – the Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S – have made their way to the Indian market this week, with a starting price tag of Rs 20.53 lakh and Rs 25.29 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

But before you get all excited, Ducati wants you to know that only 20 units of Panigale V4 will be available to buyers in India. You can pre-order one of these right now, and if you do that before 31 May, Ducati will include some exclusive memorabilia goodies as well.

Talking about the bike now, the Panigale V4 is the first production Ducati motorcycle to pack a four-cylinder engine, which has been derived from the MotoGP Desmosedici.

As claimed by Ducati, the Panigale V4 is a road bike that comes closest to its Ducati’s MotoGP avatar.

The Panigale V4 comes with a 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, mated with a six-speed transmission. All this translates into offering 211 BHP of power at 13,000 rpm, and a staggering 122NM of torque to match it up.

The new Ducati Panigale V4 comes in two variants – the Panigale V4 and the Panigale V4 S. Just like the SuperSport and SuperSport S, the major difference between the V4 and V4 S is the use of Ohlins suspension, which features the Smart EC 2.0 system with a new adjustment interface, as claimed by the Italian bike giant. The bike comes fitted with 17-inch Pirelli DIABLO™ Supercorsa SP tyres.

Ducati confirms the overall kerb weight of the Panigale V4 series ranges around 195 kg, making it a lightweight, power machine for the race track.

From a safety point of view, Ducati has laced the Panigale V4 with all sorts of electronics equipment like Traction Control, Slide Control, Wheelie Control, and Power Launch among others.

These control options can be accessed while the bike is riding in Race, Sport and Street; the three new modes developed by Ducati which can be adjusted on the five-inch TFT panel. The Italian bike maker has opted for twin Brembo calipers – each fitted with four 30mm pistons with 330mm disc brake on the front and a single 245mm disc with a two piston caliper at the back.

To sweeten the deal for buyers, Ducati has announced that the first two customers to buy the Panigale V4 will win a sponsored Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) racetrack course that will be held in June 2018 in Malaysia at the Sepang MotoGP circuit.

Under the supervision of professional instructors, the two participants will learn how to get the most out of their Panigale V4 under different riding conditions.
