Bajaj appears to have silently rolled out the Pulsar NS 160 in showrooms across India. This naked motorcycle was expected to be launched in July, but has already found its way to showrooms, according to some media reports. Dealers in Delhi said it would come only next month.

The indicated pricing for the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is Rs 82,000 ex-showroom. This bike is already on sale in other South East Asian markets. It shares many of its components with the Pulsar AS 150 and frame with the NS 200.

It comes with a 160 cc single-cylinder engine that features oil-cooling and twin spark plugs. It puts out 15.5 bhp of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. It features a five-speed gearbox. Ground clearance is a healthy 176mm, and it comes with a disc brake set up in front and drum brake at the rear.

Like the NS 200, the Pulsar NS 160 also comes with an underbelly exhaust. Other features include split seats to accentuate the racing stance, clear lens indicators, mono-shock Nitrox rear suspension and LCD speedometer console with an analogue tachometer, which has come to be expected of the Pulsar range. It gets a 12-litre fuel tank.

The bike officially goes on sale all India next month, but dealers are already taking bookings, while some in Maharashtra already have the bike in showrooms.
