Volkswagen is definitely trying to spice things up (no pun intended), at the Geneva Motor Show 2016, as they unveiled the T-Cross Breeze and the new up!
The new version of the up! will compete in the small car segment. The car will be available in petrol, natural gas and electric variants. The maximum power provided by the top version of the up! is 90 PS.
The biggest innovation on the up! is the smartphone integration. The driver’s smartphone can sync with the vehicle via an app and can be used as an onboard computer, navigation system and music player.
Volkswagen also introduced the ‘up! beats’. This is a fine-tuned entertainment system by US audio specialists, BeatsAudio.
The car will feature a 300-watt premium sound system and a total of seven loudspeakers (two tweeters, two wide bandwidth loudspeakers, two woofers and one subwoofer) promising an impressive audio experience.
Following the BUDD-e at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas 2016, Volkswagen came out with a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show 2016.
The T-Cross Breeze is a compact sports utility vehicle and a first open-top SUV in its class.
2016 will be a year of new beginnings for Volkswagen. With the T-Cross, we are providing the first look at Volkswagen models to come. We will, in particular, be significantly developing our range of SUVs and in future offering an SUV in every core segment.Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management.
