Mercedes-Benz India will revise the ex-showroom price of its entire model range by up to 2 per cent, effective from 1 January, 2016.

The decision comes after a recent price hike announcement by BMW India. The prices of the complete line-up of BMW and MINI models will be increased by up to 3 per cent effective 1 January 2016.

With rising input costs, we are compelled to make some price adjustments to our product range to protect the investment of our customers in the brand, maintain our premium brand positioning in the market and sustain a profitable business.
Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India

The company has been working on its promise of releasing 15 models in 2015. The Mercedes AMG-GT S was the 14th model that the company launched and the 15th model is expected to be the face-lifted version of the A Class.

However, with the price hike, it will be interesting to see how the company performs in 2016.
