This is the BMW 8 Series Concept, their latest hot wheels in the offing, which will make its debut in 2018.
The car was showcased at the Goodwood Festival earlier in 2017, and we got a chance to catch a glimpse of this sports coupe, which will go up against the Porsche and Audi R8’s of the world.
The 8 Series Concept borrows its design elements from the i8, which is not a bad thing at all. The shark-teeth front grille gives the sports coupe the dynamism and sporty touch that everyone craves.
The radical change in design with the 8 Series Concept is refreshing, and we’re hopeful that BMW will branch this language and styling to its upcoming series. BMW calls it the ‘sports luxury car’ and the 8 Series Concept has a lot going for it.
One of the BMW representatives we spoke to, assured us that barring the minor changes (slimmer alloys for road-friendly tyres), the production model of the 8 Series, launching in 2018, won’t look very different from this one.
