After Microsoft's Xbox extravaganza at their Xbox E3, Sony decided to keep their PlayStation E3 very small scale and focused.

According to reports, the event was disappointing to some extent but the games showcased were quite the opposite.

Here's what all Sony had for their PlayStation E3 conference this year:

The Last of Us II

The sequel to The Last of Us has been anticipated for quite some time and Sony finally decided to unveil the gameplay trailer at their E3 conference. The trailer opened with a soft sequence starring the game's main character Ellie which later cuts to gameplay, giving us and idea on the action expected from the game.

The game looks exciting with intense action and brutal combat. Sony has not announced any release date for The Last of Us II yet.

Marvel's Spider-Man

Developed by Insomniac, the new Spider Man game comes out this September. Although, we have already seen how the game looks, the E3 showcase gave us a better look at the web-swinging and fighting sequences. The game has been widely compared with Batman’s Arkham games, just with more colour and appeal.

Ghost of Tsushima

This game was first revealed at the Paris Games Week 2017. Developed by Sucker Punch studios, known for their 'Infamous', Ghost of Tsushima is a Samurai game set during the Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. The trailer showcased exotic locations, brutal Mongol invaders and thrilling katana combat. Release date for the game is yet to be announced.

Resident Evil 2

Slotted for a 25 January release, the latest edition of one of the most well-known horror franchises has finally given the fans something to whet their appetite. With good visuals and a new story, this can be seen as Capcom's attempt to revive a classic, although gameplay still remains a big question mark.

Death Stranding

Sony gave a fresh look to their new PS4 title, Death Stranding. Apart from showcasing the gameplay, the trailer also unveiled Lindsay Wagner and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol star Léa Seydoux starring as new characters in the game.

Control

Made by the creators of Max Payne, Control is a supernatural action-adventure game with a storyline from Creative Director, Sam Lake. Control was one of the very few announcements made by Sony at this year's E3 and looks quite interesting as Jesse Faden, the lead character battles with supernatural forces. No release date was announced for this game as well.
