Team India Get ‘Mitti’ from Their Childhood Playgrounds at WC

The official global broadcaster of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Star Sports, has come up with a very innovative idea with a very heartwarming message for all the players of the Indian team.

They have sent the Indian contingent a very symbolic jar of soil. This jar contains soil from the schools and the playgrounds where the men in blue started playing cricket.

The #DeshKiMitti campaign by Star Sports, sent blessings from home to all 15 players.

The aim is to send blessings of friends, coaches, school members who have been a part of the player’s journey with cricket.

The soil from home reached the United Kingdom before the India vs Australia game which took place on Sunday, 9 June.

On receiving the token of love from his school in Delhi, Vishal Bharati Public School, Kohli opened it to smell the love of his land.

The jar with Desh Ki Mitti will take a permanent spot in the player’s dressing room and will remind them of the billion voices back home cheering for them.

The fifteen boxes containing soil from home grounds will travel with the team, constantly reminding them of the billion fans back in India praying and supporting their success on the field.
