In a big blow to New Zealand’s World Cup campaign, Lockie Ferguson will miss the crucial clash against England on 3 July, due to hamstring injury. Tim Southee is set to replace him in the Kiwi squad.
The New Zealand camp confirmed that Lockie is suffering from a tight left hamstring and will be left out of Wednesday’s clash against England as a precaution.

With 17 Wickets in 7 matches at an average of 18.58, Ferguson is New Zealand’s best bowler at this World Cup along with being the tournament’s second-highest wicket taker.
New Zealand has not yet qualified for the semi-finals but need one point to confirm their spot in the next round. A win over England today would help.
