Mumbai Indians: 142 for 6 in 20 overs (Ambati Rayudu 54, Krunal Pandya 49 not out; Barinder Sran 3/28) lost to
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 145 for 3 in 17.3 overs (David Warner 90 not out; Tim Southee 3/24) by 7 wickets.
Sunrisers Hyderabad left-arm pacer Barinder Sran has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for inappropriate behaviour during their match against Mumbai Indians on Monday night.
While his 3/28 helped Sunrisers beat the defending champions by 7 wickets, his conduct was deemed ‘contrary to the spirit of the game’ by the match referee. Sran admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.
For all Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
