The IPL 2019 final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings was a special one. It was the fight to become the best team in IPL history as both of them shared three titles each before Sunday’s clash.
Mumbai got past Chennai in a thriller that was decided off the last ball. A win that earned them a fourth IPL title, more than any other team.
For skipper Rohit Sharma it was even more special as he became the first player in IPL history to claim five IPL titles (four with MI and one with Deccan Chargers in 2009).
The night demanded special celebrations and the skipper was on point. The 32-year-old along with veteran southpaw Yuvraj Singh took to authentic Mumbai street rap from the movie Gully Boy to celebrate MI’s historic triumph at the after match party.
Mumbai Indians posted a video of the two on their official twitter handle. The twitterati made sure they did not miss out on the opportunity of making this their town talk.
Twitter also congratulated Yuvraj. The World Cup winning Indian all-rounder only featured in 4 games for MI this season and was unable to make his place in the playing 11.
