MS Dhoni is considered to be one of the sharpest minds in Indian cricketing history. His ability to perceive the game and adjust accordingly is something many marvel at.
India is already missing Dhoni’s leadership skills on the field, but at least it is good to see that the former skipper is still keeping active.
In a video shared by @msdfansofficial, you can see Dhoni giving batting tips to one of his friends at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association stadium.
Dhoni hasn’t played for the Indian cricket team since the World Cup semi-final loss to New Zealand earlier this year and has been omitted from all subsequent Indian squads that have taken the field for the series against South Africa and Bangladesh.
Outgoing Indian chief selector MSK Prasad said that the team will be moving on from Dhoni with the former skipper not publicly clarifying the current status of his international career. MSD, however, will be returning to play the IPL with the Chennai Super Kings after they named him in their list of retained players for the 2020 season.
While Dhoni hasn’t publicly commented on possibly retiring from the sport, there has been a lot of speculation on this, with #DhoniRetires trending on social media quite often.
