Young Indian swimmers Sajan Prakash and Shivani Kataria expectedly made inglorious exits in their respective events at the Olympics on Tuesday.

Sajan finished 41st in terms of timing amongt 43 swimmers who participated in the 200m Butterfly heats.

Shivani, who clocked 2 minures and 9.3 seconds finished 28th out of 29 swimmers in the 200m freestyle finishing 2nd among three in her heat.

Sajan, who finished a disappointing 4th out of five swimmers in his 200 metres butterfly event, clocked 1 minte 59.37 seconds in his heat.

The heat was won by Simon Sjodin of Sweden who clocked 1 minute 56.46 seconds while Robert Zbogar of Slovakia came second with 1 minute 57.05 seconds. Gal Nevo of Israel was third in the heat with a timing of 1 minute 58.64 seconds.

In the third heat, the legendary Michael Phelps did not exert himself finishing third with timing of 1 min 55.73 seconds. The best timing in the heats was clocked by Tamas Kenderesi 1min 54.73 seconds.
