As India celebrates its 70th Republic Day, Indian cricketers took to social media to share their greetings with fellow countrymen.
Earlier in the day, openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma had kicked off team India’s Republic Day celebrations with a 154-run stand in their second ODI against New Zealand.

Legend Sachin Tendulkar in a tweet, wrote, “Warm Republic Day greetings to all Indians. On this special occasion, let's take a collective step forward, towards a strong, healthy and prosperous India. Jai Hind!”.
“May our hearts continue to beat for Bharat and the Josh remain high forever,” wrote former India cricketer Virender Sehwag.
Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin wrote, “There are some days which remain very close to my heart, one of them being Republic Day. Each time I see the national flag going up and the the national anthem being played, I feel that sense of pride and honour”.
