India named their 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup on Monday, 15 April. And the one question that several Twitter users were left asking after the announcement by the Selection Committee was, “Where’s Yuvraj Singh?”.
It’s been over two years since the 37-year-old batsman Yuvraj featured in any format for India, but the veteran had still been harbouring hopes of making it to the World Cup squad.
Currently playing for Mumbai Indians in the 12th edition of the IPL, Yuvraj has scored 98 runs in 4 innings which includes a half-century. While his cricketing future has been a topic of discussion for some years now, in a recent press conference Singh had said that he would be the first one to bid adieu when he feels that his time is up.
And maybe it was his optimism of making the team, that left his fans also hopeful of the same.
