Having reached England well ahead of the start of the 2019 World Cup and having played two warm-up games, the Indian cricket team took a much-needed break.
Captain Virat Kohli posted some pictures on Instagram from their off-day adventures. The cricketers, including Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, were seen wearing army outfits and posed for a few pictures.
In another picture, the whole team can be seen along with the support staff posing for a picture.
The Indian Cricket team is one of the most widely followed cricket teams in the world and with the World Cup starting they are also touted as one of the favorites in this edition.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli is expected to contribute to be the key batsmen for India. He is the highest run-scorer between the 2015 and the 2019 World Cup with over 4000 runs in ODIs.
Apart from Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni who are the senior players in the team are also expected to contribute heavily.
The Indian bowling line-up also looks in good shape with Jasprit Bumrah leading the bowling attack and the likes or Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar backing him up in the pace department.
Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja form a formidable spin trio and are expected to pick up wickets as well.
India play South Africa in their World Cup opener on 5 June in Southampton.
