The World Cup fever has well and truly gripped the Indian cricket fans and even Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan seems to be in its grip. In a recent video posted on social media, Varun echoed the sentiments of every Indian fan with his chant “'Jeetega bhai Jeetega India Jeetega” wearing an Indian team jersey.

The 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup starts from 30 May and the final will be played on 14 July at Lord’s. The Indian team played two warm up games ahead of their first fixture, on 5 June vs South Africa.

KL Rahul has likely cemented his place at number four after his ton against Bangladesh. MS Dhoni also seemed to be in good touch as he too scored a century to gear himself up for the tournament.

Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets after there was much talk about his form coming into this World Cup. A disappointing IPL campaign meant that all eyes were on him to perform and he did not disappoint.

The spin, guile and the turn was back as he displayed his variations and even foxed the batsmen on occasions.

All in all , it was a good performance by the Indian team, but the top-order failing in back to back two games meant that the management will have to address this factor before they play their first game against South Africa on 5 June.
