As West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite holed out to Trent Boult, tantalisingly close to the boundary line and an improbable victory, everyone from the New Zealand camp made lined up to shake hands with him.
Off the field too, fans lauded the all-rounder’s valiant 82-ball-101 effort which brought the Windies within sniffing distance of a win.
Brathwaite, after having hit five sixes in his innings against the Black Caps, launched the last ball of the 49th over down towards the long-on boundary. However, Boult caught him just inside the boundary rope, handing his side a five run-win.
