Social media pressure continues to mount on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul after their appearance on Koffee With Karan.
Pandya and Rahul became the first active Indian cricketers to feature on the popular chat show, hosted by Bollywood supremo Karan Johar, in an episode which aired on Sunday, 6 January.
While India’s historic Test series win in Australia took some of the attention away from their KWK appearance, Twitter users have continued to troll the duo for some of their comments.
Pandya has been called out for his misogynistic comments, but the greatest amount of animosity is coming over the pair’s suggestion that Virat Kohli is a ‘better batsman’ than Sachin Tendulkar.
When asked to pick the better batsman, in their opinion, during a rapid-fire round, both Pandya and Rahul named their captain over Tendulkar – the highest run-scorer in the history of international cricket.
Needless to say, the ‘disrespect’ towards the biggest entity in Indian cricket did not go down to well with social media users.
