After 15 long years of representing the country, Gautam Gambhir has announced retirement from all forms of cricket on Tuesday, 4 December. Delhi’s next Ranji Trophy game against Andhra starting 6 December will be the Indian batsman’s final before he draws the curtains on his illustrious career.
Part of the Indian squad that won the 2007 World T20 and the 2011 World Cup, and leading Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles, the 37-year-old cricketer has produced several match-winning knocks throughout his career, that started way back in 1999-2000.
As the Delhi cricketer announced his decision to step away from the game, fans reminisced those memorable knocks, with the hashtag #ThankYouGauti.
